Checkout Experience for Forbes’ Inaugural NFT Drop

Design a seamless and intuitive NFT minting experience to maximize user adoption. This involved working closely with our wallet provider to launch a new checkout flow, streamlining the journey from wallet connection to minting - while reducing friction, building user trust, and aligning with Forbes’ digital innovation goals.

The Process

Wireframes and Early Landing Page Iterations

Took over the project from a previous designer and contributed initial wireframes and rough layouts for the benefits section, helping to define the marketing narrative and content structure.

Design and Iteration of Checkout Strategy

Worked with stakeholders to iterate on the checkout strategy, timing the mint, building exclusivity, and shaping the user journey to encourage NFT adoption.

Design of Checkout Flows

Collaborated with our wallet provider to design and deliver detailed checkout flows, applying Web3 UX best practices and ensuring all assets were aligned with Forbes’ brand guidelines for handoff to development.

We explored various flow structures that emphasized simplification,
user empowerment, and clear navigation. The focus was on creating a
seamless experience by improving contextual information and reducing unnecessary steps.

Brand Alignment & Design QA

Supported development with QA of the wallet connection and minting flows, ensuring the final build matched designs across breakpoints and maintained a consistent, trusted user experience.

Post-Mint Experience and Mentorship

Designed the crypto wallet experience after minting, mentoring a junior designer to deliver flows that allowed users to access and redeem their NFT benefits seamlessly.
